Role Overview

The Front of House role is key to creating a welcoming and well-organised environment at The Cavalier Centre. This position involves being the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and volunteers. 

  • Welcome visitors, clients, and volunteers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer telephone and email enquiries, directing them appropriately
  • Manage bookings, appointments, and general enquiries
  • Maintain a tidy, organised, and welcoming reception area
  • Provide information about the Centre’s activities, programmes, and facilities

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive, flexible and willing to help where needed
  • Empathy and understanding when working with a wide range of people

What skills do I need?

Skills & Experience

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident using basic IT systems (e.g. email, spreadsheets, databases)
  • Ability to multitask and manage a varied workload
  • Previous experience in a front of house or administrative role is desirable but not essential
